About the Role
You will optimize the financial performance of cloud infrastructure and the product platform. You will translate cloud usage and infrastructure decisions into financial insights, develop cost governance frameworks, build dashboards and reports for spend visibility, support product pricing and unit economics, partner with engineering teams to right-size resources, investigate cost anomalies, and work with vendors to negotiate pricing and commitments.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or infrastructure finance
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience with SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into insights
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and product teams
- High ownership mindset and proactive approach
- Experience implementing a FinOps practice in a scaling startup (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Web3 infrastructure or blockchain systems (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize cloud spend across AWS, GCP, and other infrastructure providers
- Identify cost optimization opportunities, including right-sizing, storage optimization, and commitment plans
- Establish FinOps processes and cost governance
- Build dashboards and reports for infrastructure cost visibility
- Partner with R&D, DevOps, and Product teams to understand infrastructure cost drivers
- Support unit economics, pricing analysis, and product cost analysis
- Investigate cost anomalies and usage spikes
- Work with vendors to optimize pricing and commitments
- Promote cost-efficient engineering practices
