About the Role

You will oversee end-to-end month-end close and reporting processes, manage external audits, and ensure statutory and consolidated financial statements are accurate and audit-ready. You will liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders, perform technical accounting research, advise on complex transactions and new accounting standards, support tax and compliance matters, and coach and mentor junior finance staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related discipline
• CA, ACA, ACCA, ACMA qualification or equivalent
• Big 4 audit or advisory experience
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements under IFRS
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience in financial services, FinTech, payments, or regulated industries
• Proven experience in group consolidations, multi-entity, and multi-currency reporting
• Experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital assets
• Prior exposure to remote or globally distributed finance teams
• ERP experience
• Ability to communicate complex accounting matters to senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead the Financial Reporting team and deliver external audits
• Act as key point of contact for external auditors and manage audit deliverables and timelines
• Ensure all external audits are completed on time and without qualifications
• Coordinate with internal finance teams, tax advisors, and external consultants for audit and reporting outcomes
• Review and reconcile financial statements and supporting subledgers prior to auditor submission
• Prepare and review statutory standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and disclosures
• Report audit findings to the Risk Committee and implement action plans
• Book audit adjustments in the ERP and financial statements
• Lead technical accounting analysis and prepare accounting position papers
• Advise on accounting implications of new products, transactions, and regulatory changes
• Support adoption and implementation of new or amended accounting standards
• Identify tax and accounting risks and support tax compliance processes
• Provide finance and accounting support to business units on ad-hoc and project initiatives
• Coach and mentor junior team members to raise technical and execution standards
