About the Role
You will own and oversee suspicious activity reporting within first-line financial crime teams across European markets. You will manage financial crime controls, ensure reporting processes meet regulatory obligations, monitor control effectiveness, respond to regulatory queries, escalate risks, report to senior leadership, and oversee remediation actions.
Requirements
- Experience in financial crime, fraud, or AML control management within a regulated financial services organisation
- Understanding of first- and second-line defence responsibilities and governance boundaries
- Knowledge of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting frameworks
- Familiarity with EU and national AML/CFT and fraud-prevention requirements
- Analytical and reporting skills
- Written communication skills and experience preparing materials for regulators or senior management
Responsibilities
- Own first-line financial crime controls for ongoing monitoring across EU markets
- Ensure processes and controls meet reporting obligations and can scale across European markets
- Approve TPSA process and procedure documentation
- Monitor control effectiveness through MI review, exception tracking, and assurance outputs
- Represent TPSA in regulatory interactions and respond to regulator, auditor, and Compliance queries
- Support the MLRO and Authorised Management with control performance, incident, and remediation updates
- Ensure compliance with EU and national regulatory requirements
- Act as the primary liaison between first-line operations and Compliance
- Escalate material control weaknesses and emerging financial crime risks
- Provide periodic reporting to senior leadership
- Oversee remediation of audit, compliance monitoring, and RCAMS actions
