About the Role
You will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling across the business. You will manage financial operations and regulatory compliance, including crypto and fiat transactions, payments, settlements, expense management, equity and compensation plans, travel, and accounts payable. You will analyze performance, communicate financial risks and insights, improve and automate processes, prepare board and strategic materials, support corporate development and tax efforts, and review financial contract terms.
Requirements
- BA or BS in Finance or Accounting
- Extensive finance experience in digital assets or fintech
- Experience in cryptocurrency management, international payments, and trading platforms
- Advanced financial modeling and analytics skills
- Ability to work with large datasets
- Understanding of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow management, and general accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams
- Ability to independently turn ambiguous requests into concrete deliverables
- Ability to mentor or oversee junior finance team members
Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and forecasting across the business
- Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, scenario planning, and departmental decisions
- Drive finance projects from data gathering through implementation
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and regulatory compliance
- Oversee crypto and fiat transactions, payments, and settlements
- Maintain expense management, equity and compensation, travel, and accounts-payable systems
- Serve as a financial liaison across engineering, compliance, business development, legal, accounting, and people operations
- Track and report financial and operational metrics
- Analyze trends and variances and flag business risks and opportunities
- Refine financial processes and systems and support automation planning and implementation
- Prepare and present board-meeting materials and strategic updates
- Support corporate development activities, investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and asset sales
- Support tax planning and compliance
- Review financial terms of contracts and agreements
- Communicate financial insights and risks to stakeholders
