About the Role
You will own the financial strategy for the API platform. You will shape pricing, packaging, commercial terms, commitments, service tiers, and monetization for new capabilities. You will model costs, capacity, adoption, and margins; advise product decisions and executives; track pricing performance; and mentor finance colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience in strategic finance, product finance, or a related field with ownership of pricing or business-model decisions
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based business models
- Experience with infrastructure, cloud, or developer platform businesses
- Experience designing and launching pricing or business models
- Advanced spreadsheet financial modeling
- SQL data analysis
- Experience presenting recommendations to executive leadership
- Clear written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Own financial strategy for the API platform, including pricing, packaging, discounting, and commercial terms
- Design and launch new business models, capacity commitments, service tiers, and usage- or outcome-based pricing
- Set pricing for new platform features
- Translate cost-to-serve changes and capacity constraints into pricing and product decisions
- Develop business cases and recommendations for roadmap priorities, investments, and tradeoffs
- Define pricing metrics and build dashboards and reviews
- Coordinate with FP&A, accounting, deal desk, and revenue operations on pricing changes
- Mentor Product Finance team members
