About the Role
You will deploy to customer sites, maintain mission-ready aircraft, and restore aircraft-down situations. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, RF/datalink, and firmware issues, manage records and spares, establish new sites, coordinate escalations, and relay field feedback to improve aircraft reliability.
Requirements
- 3+ years maintaining and supporting aircraft or UAS in the field
- Mechanical, electrical, RF/datalink, and software or firmware troubleshooting knowledge
- Knowledge of small internal-combustion or multi-fuel engines
- Ability to use technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to run a remote site independently
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 75%, including international trips
- Valid U.S. passport and driver's license
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and work outdoors
- Knowledge of Slack, Asana, Airtable, and Google Workspace
- Ability to obtain customer- or contract-required security clearance
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or eligibility under applicable export control regulations
Responsibilities
- Deploy to customer sites and keep aircraft mission-ready
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, RF/datalink, and firmware issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to MRO and Engineering with relevant context
- Restore aircraft-down situations and meet service commitments
- Maintain daily logbooks, maintenance histories, and configuration records
- Establish new sites and redeployments
- Manage on-site spares and aircraft-on-ground response
- Feed field learnings back to Engineering
- Act as the customer's point of contact
