About the Role

You will monitor system performance and reliability at customer locations, troubleshoot equipment and automation failures, and lead root-cause investigations. You will support maintenance, technical escalations, site launches, safety compliance, documentation, and reliability initiatives while traveling regionally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, or a related technical field
• At least 2 years of hands-on automated-systems experience
• PLC, HMI, conveyor, robotics, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Electrical circuitry, control panel, motor, sensor, and automation hardware repair
• Preventive maintenance and equipment recovery
• CMMS
• Lockout/tagout procedures
• Electrical safety
• Machine guarding
• Conveyor safety
• Ability to travel regionally within Massachusetts and occasionally across North America

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, alarms, metrics, and reliability trends
• Analyze recurring issues and lead root-cause investigations
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex system issues
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, robotics, conveyors, controls, and automated equipment
• Execute reliability improvement initiatives
• Support customer communications during operational events
• Review maintenance activities and system data for improvement opportunities
• Mentor technicians and support technical training
• Assist with site launches, upgrades, and operational initiatives
• Maintain technical documentation and maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA and LOTO
