About the Role
You will manage product rollouts and oversee distribution in assigned territories. You will identify and build a local agent network, train agents on applications and contracts, monitor cash and float availability, and enforce compliance. You will recruit and onboard users, conduct user interviews, visit agents routinely to assess performance and risks, close and recover items from underperforming agents, support and coach distributors, scout distribution zones, and monitor progress of field activities. You will communicate regularly with stakeholders and use basic tools such as Excel to track and report field operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience managing an agent network in Malawi
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing field-based teams
- Proven sales ability with a successful track record
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and a local language
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in building and maintaining relationships
- Willingness to relocate to assigned territories
- Work authorization in Malawi
Responsibilities
- Identify and build a local agent network
- Train agents on applications, contracts, rebalancing options and fraud management
- Recruit target users and onboard them on product use
- Collaborate with Field Officers in other locations to progress adoption
- Ensure agent quality and compliance with legal and policy requirements
- Ensure agents are branded and well-equipped
- Monitor cash and float availability at agent locations
- Manage risk through routine visits and assess agent performance
- Identify underperforming agents, close them, recover items and remove branding
- Serve as primary contact for agency networks in the territory
- Champion excellent customer service among distributors and agents
- Support distribution activities in the field
- Coach, train and mentor team members to achieve targets
- Scout and recommend zones for distribution and guide distributors
- Encourage and motivate distributors to improve performance
- Monitor progress related to distribution activities
