About the Role
You will coordinate and supervise fiber-optic cabling installation, modification, and splicing at the Memphis data center. You will schedule employees and contractors, manage project scope, quality, budget, safety, daily logs, and plot plans. You will train and direct crews, coordinate critical work with operations and engineering, and resolve installation quality issues.
Requirements
- 3+ years of team-management experience
- 3+ years of data center experience installing and routing optical fiber in large-scale Tier 3 or Tier 4 facilities
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to pass pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Physical dexterity to work in tight quarters
- Ability to work in noisy environments
Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule employees, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ensure contractors comply with their contracted scope of work
- Ensure crew work meets quality standards
- Deliver projects on time and under budget
- Maintain daily written logs and plot plans
- Lead, train, and supervise foremen and crews
