About the Role
You will maintain the Glomfjord facility, grounds, and support areas. You will perform routine inspections and minor repairs, manage waste and recycling, prepare meeting and training spaces, support contractors, identify hazards, and follow site health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Janitor, Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Technician, Property Maintenance Worker, or similar role
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Ability to perform physical work involving lifting, carrying, moving equipment, standing, and walking
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Health and safety awareness
Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings, offices, welfare facilities, storage areas, and outdoor spaces
- Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate contractor follow-up
- Maintain doors, gates, fences, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces
- Maintain outdoor areas and support seasonal site preparation
- Manage waste collection points and recycling stations
- Coordinate waste collection and disposal providers
- Set up meeting rooms, training facilities, and event spaces
- Support furniture moves, equipment deliveries, and internal logistics
- Replenish facility supplies and consumables
- Coordinate contractor access and escort contractors when required
- Verify completed contractor work and report concerns
- Identify and report hazards, defects, and unsafe conditions
- Participate in site inspections and follow health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Participate in site inductions, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives
