About the Role
You will lead and develop research engineers while owning the technical roadmap for model post-training, evaluation, safety, speech, or agent behavior. You will turn research directions into measurable programs, review architecture and experiments, set rigorous engineering and rollout standards, and move research into production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building machine-learning systems involving language models, speech, agents, or model infrastructure
- 1+ years of people management experience
- Experience post-training, evaluating, deploying, or serving foundation models at scale
- Technical judgment translating ambiguous research ideas into measurable product outcomes
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing technical talent
- Cross-functional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing research engineering team
- Own technical direction and roadmap across models, evaluation, safety, speech, and agent systems
- Turn open-ended research into focused programs with hypotheses, milestones, decisions, and production-impact measures
- Review architecture and experiments, debug issues, and contribute individually
- Set standards for experimental rigor, reproducibility, evaluation quality, engineering execution, and safe model rollouts
- Partner across infrastructure, engineering, product, and customer-facing functions to move research into production
