About the Role
As an Engineering Manager you will lead multiple platform squads and directly manage and mentor engineers and engineering leads. You will own and refine processes, run agile ceremonies, and manage work in JIRA to keep roadmaps and priorities aligned. You will drive the technical vision for core platform, data pipelines and DevOps, ensure the reliability and scalability of blockchain integrations, and occasionally contribute hands-on to resolve critical technical challenges. You will monitor key metrics and KPIs, improve team performance, and ensure platform components meet security and compliance requirements while collaborating closely with product and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- At least 5 years working as a backend engineer
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or squads
- Proven experience managing a team of approximately 15 engineers within a 50+ engineer organisation
- Strong technical background in system architecture, data engineering, and infrastructure management
- Proven ability to manage tasks using JIRA and to define and manage roadmaps
- Deep understanding and application of agile methodologies, including Scrum
- Ability to monitor and improve team performance using metrics/KPIs such as velocity, throughput, and cycle time
- Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns, microservices, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies, APIs, and DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud-native tools
- Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor high-performing engineering teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Drive technical vision and roadmap for Core Platform, Data Pipelines, DevEx, and DevOps
- Ensure delivery of scalable, reliable data pipelines and blockchain integrations
- Contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges when needed
- Monitor and improve performance metrics and KPIs
- Ensure platform components comply with security, compliance, and scalability requirements
