About the Role
You will lead and mentor multiple platform squads, managing approximately 20 engineers and shaping technical direction. You will own and refine agile processes, oversee JIRA task management and roadmaps, and drive delivery of robust data pipelines including blockchain integrations. You will define technical strategy for Core Platform, DevEx, and DevOps, monitor performance metrics, ensure security and scalability, collaborate with product and stakeholders, and occasionally contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years as a backend engineer
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or squads
- Proven experience managing teams of approximately 15 engineers within larger organizations
- Strong technical background in system architecture data engineering and infrastructure management
- Proven ability to manage tasks using JIRA and define and manage roadmaps
- Deep understanding and application of agile methodologies including Scrum
- Ability to monitor and improve team performance using metrics such as velocity throughput and cycle time
- Familiarity with scalable architecture patterns microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline technologies APIs and DevOps tools such as Kubernetes Docker and Terraform
- Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud-native tools
- Excellent communication collaboration and leadership skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor engineers and engineering leads across multiple squads
- Build a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes quality and accountability
- Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and ensure team alignment with objectives
- Own and refine team processes and facilitate agile ceremonies such as standups sprint planning and retrospectives
- Oversee task management in JIRA ensuring proper prioritization assignment and execution
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage roadmaps timelines and deliverables
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Core Platform Data Pipeline DevEx and DevOps squads
- Ensure delivery of robust high-performance data pipelines including blockchain integrations
- Advocate best practices in software development DevOps and developer productivity
- Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as lead time system uptime pipeline latency and team velocity
- Ensure platform components comply with security compliance and scalability requirements
- Occasionally contribute hands-on to solve critical technical challenges
