About the Role
You will hold technical accountability for a data center project's engineering scope. You will set the technical baseline coordinate multiple disciplines manage design reviews oversee vendor packages support construction and commissioning and develop engineering staff.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience on data center or mission-critical facilities
- At least 3 years leading multi-discipline engineering teams on major capital projects
- Technical fluency across electrical distribution generation UPS cooling systems and controls integration
- Owner's-side or EPC design management experience on projects exceeding $250M construction value
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- PE license preferred
- Experience running stage-gate design reviews and closing comment logs
- Experience supporting active construction RFIs field changes and constructability decisions
- Working knowledge of Level 1-5 commissioning
- Ability to make and own technical decisions and explain them in business terms
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more to project sites during peak phases
Responsibilities
- Own the project's engineering scope and technical baseline
- Coordinate discipline engineers and shared design resources
- Resolve cross-discipline design conflicts and technical decisions
- Run stage-gate design reviews and close comment logs
- Oversee major vendor packages submittals exceptions and alternates
- Prioritize RFIs field changes and constructability support
- Ensure engineering deliverables support commissioning and turnover
- Direct and develop discipline engineers and project engineers
