About the Role
You will develop C/C++ and Python software for an embedded project. You will improve diagnostics, tooling, tests, and deployment workflows; integrate software and hardware-facing interfaces; investigate system behavior; document findings; and deliver a final demonstration and handoff.
Requirements
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in a related engineering discipline with graduation expected between December 2027 and May 2028
- Ability to work onsite in Pittsburgh Monday through Friday for Summer 2027
- Programming experience in C/C++ and Python
- Object-oriented programming knowledge
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
- Understanding of basic computer networking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop C/C++ and Python software for an embedded software project
- Build or improve tooling, diagnostics, tests, and development workflows
- Integrate services and hardware-facing interfaces
- Investigate system behavior, test solutions, and document findings
- Use version control, code review, and structured debugging
- Communicate status and tradeoffs and deliver a final demonstration and handoff
