About the Role
You will own embedded Linux platform software, including bootloaders, kernels, device trees, BSPs, and drivers. You will integrate sensors and high-speed interfaces, maintain build systems, debug custom carrier boards, optimize software performance, and implement over-the-air updates.
Requirements
- BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of embedded Linux or systems software development experience
- Experience bringing up modern application-class SoCs
- Proficiency in C
- Experience with Yocto, Buildroot, or an equivalent embedded Linux build system
- Understanding of Linux boot flow and low-level peripherals
- Ability to read schematics and debug at the hardware-software boundary
- Knowledge of power management, secure boot, and watchdogs
- Experience developing CI pipelines for embedded Linux images
Responsibilities
- Own the embedded software stack for compute platforms
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers and userspace integrations
- Own build systems and BSP layers
- Debug and bring up custom carrier boards with electrical engineers
- Optimize performance across the software stack
- Design and implement end-to-end over-the-air updates
