About the Role
You will design electrical systems for power generation, high-voltage transmission, and battery energy storage. You will develop system diagrams and protection designs, conduct power studies, integrate power equipment, support vendor selection and commissioning, investigate failures, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
- Ability to perform hands-on work in varied weather, tight quarters, or at heights
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to work safely in hazardous environments while wearing PPE
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for power generation, high-voltage transmission, and battery energy storage
- Develop single-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, relay settings, and interconnection designs
- Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability, and harmonics analysis
- Integrate electrical systems with generators, battery storage, transmission infrastructure, and data center loads
- Ensure compliance with standards and support permitting and utility coordination
- Support equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, commissioning, and energization
- Conduct FMEA, root-cause investigations, and reliability modeling
- Collaborate on facility builds, capacity expansions, and power-standard improvements
