About the Role

You will design and specify electrical infrastructure for facilities and data centers. You will troubleshoot electrical equipment, perform engineering analyses, coordinate installations and maintenance with utilities, verify system compatibility, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience with electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS units, or generators
  • Ability to read power and control schematics
  • Ability to understand technical equipment operation and maintenance manuals
  • Experience with variable frequency drives and industrial pumps
  • Experience with MODBUS controls communication
  • Experience with medium-voltage distribution
  • Experience with control-panel design and production
  • Working knowledge of power coordination and arc flash

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify electrical power distribution, switchgear, lighting, controls, UPS units, generators, transfer switches, monitoring, communications, grounding, fire alarm, and lightning-protection systems
  • Support technicians in troubleshooting electrical equipment and controllers
  • Perform electrical design, operational support, and troubleshooting for facility systems
  • Conduct load-flow analysis and electrical equipment evaluations
  • Ensure electrical interfaces are compatible with mechanical and electrical systems and power budgets
  • Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with utility personnel
  • Ensure designs and installations comply with applicable codes and regulations
  • Perform code review and analysis using NFPA, AFSPCMAN, and IBC standards
