About the Role
The Electrical Engineer will own the full-process design, optimization, implementation, operation, and maintenance of 10KV–400V power distribution systems in data centers, including equipment selection, electrical drawings, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, firefighting power, harmonic filtering, reactive power compensation, protective-device calculations, construction coordination, testing, commissioning, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power System Automation, Power Distribution Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of medium- and low-voltage power distribution design, operation, and maintenance experience
- Experience with large-scale data center projects is preferred
- Proficiency with 10KV–400V power distribution systems and data center architectures
- Ability to independently complete power distribution designs and electrical construction drawings
- Proficiency with CAD and EPLAN
- Experience designing electrical layouts, cable trays, busbars, lighting, emergency lighting, grounding, and lightning protection
- Knowledge of firefighting power distribution, harmonic filtering, reactive power compensation, short-circuit and load calculations
- Familiarity with GB 50174, GB 51348, GB 50057, GB 50016, NEC codes, and UL standards
- Data center testing, commissioning, fault-response, UPS, transformer, and circuit-breaker experience
- Strong project management, coordination, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Registered Electrical Engineer, High Voltage Electrician License, or PMP certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and implement medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems in data centers
- Plan distribution systems, prepare electrical construction drawings, and select equipment
- Complete distribution system design, load calculations, and solution validation
- Design and review electrical layouts, cable trays, and busbar systems
- Design lighting, emergency lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and firefighting power systems
- Design harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation solutions
- Perform short-circuit current and load calculations for protective-device selection and settings
- Coordinate with construction units and equipment suppliers and oversee on-site construction
- Participate in testing and acceptance of power distribution systems
- Develop operation and maintenance plans, resolve electrical faults, and maintain technical documentation
