About the Role
You will drive hardening across bare-metal, virtualized, and Kubernetes cluster environments. You will define security requirements, identify security gaps with platform and infrastructure partners, develop threat models, embed secure design practices, balance delivery with security controls, and document security posture and strategy.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience with heterogeneous compute environments, Kubernetes hardening, and networked-system security
- 10+ years of high-performance cluster experience
- Hands-on engineering ability in on-premises and cloud environments
- Ability to harden Kubernetes deployments and bare-metal instances
- Written communication skills for explaining security concepts
Responsibilities
- Define security requirements for distributed systems, from secure boot to Kubernetes workload identity
- Partner with platform, infrastructure, networking, and hardware teams to close security gaps
- Develop threat models across the cluster stack
- Embed secure design with engineering leads and architects
- Balance engineering outcomes with security controls
- Document security posture and strategy for technical and nontechnical audiences
