About the Role
Own Upvest’s data product strategy and AI product roadmap, translating data and AI capabilities into commercially meaningful products and leading the Data & AI product function in a regulated fintech environment.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product and data management, including ownership of data, analytics, data science, or AI products in B2B environments
- Experience in regulated fintech, finance, or banking and understanding of API-first SaaS products
- Ability to absorb complex domains such as data contracts, lakehouse architecture, and MLOps
- Experience translating AI/ML, LLM, and ML system capabilities into productized value with measurable ROI
- Fluency in modern data stacks including Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, Dagster, lakehouse or warehouse patterns, and MLOps
- Ability to define and own data and AI product roadmaps with clear business outcomes
- Strong command of continuous discovery, outcome-focused roadmaps, OKRs, and fast validation cycles
- Experience creating cross-functional alignment with engineering, compliance, risk, finance, and senior leadership
- Experience building and scaling inclusive, high-performing product or data teams
Responsibilities
- Define and drive a data product strategy across the organization
- Set strategy and direction for data foundations with engineering and analytics
- Own the AI product roadmap end-to-end
- Prioritize high-impact AI use cases and drive them through production
- Deploy LLM-powered tooling and intelligent Investment API features
- Enable real-time risk and compliance signals
- Translate AI capabilities into productized value with measurable ROI
- Define the operating model and standards for the Data & AI product function
- Create cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Product
- Attract, coach, and develop data and AI product talent
- Represent data and AI in product and engineering leadership discussions
