About the Role
Design, build, and operate low-latency algorithmic trading and smart order router infrastructure, implement intelligent routing algorithms, integrate trading systems, optimize performance, mentor developers, and improve production resilience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing routing strategies for specific markets
- Knowledge of tick data analytics and real-time market data processing
- Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments
- Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments
- Experience building low-latency systems and working with multicast and unicast market data feeds
- Understanding of electronic and algorithmic trading application stacks and infrastructure
- Proficiency in FIX protocol, OMS and EMS architecture, and market gateways
- Familiarity with concurrency, networking, memory management, Linux, and performance profiling
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Design and lead development of a low-latency, high-throughput Algo Trading and Smart Order Router system
- Implement intelligent routing algorithms based on execution quality, liquidity, latency, and cost
- Collaborate with traders and product managers to refine routing logic and build algorithmic capabilities
- Integrate the SOR with trading, booking, and reporting stacks
- Monitor and optimize system performance under real-world trading conditions
- Mentor junior developers and enforce code quality standards
- Provide production support and improve system resilience and failover mechanisms
