About the Role
You will architect and implement complex user-interface components and systems. You will lead the technical evolution of the design system, prototype interactions, turn designs into production code, improve design-to-development workflows, mentor engineers, and champion accessible, responsive, performant interfaces.
Requirements
- 8+ years of front-end development experience with design sensibility
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably React
- Understanding of design systems and component-based architecture
- Experience implementing complex UI animations and interactions
- Ability to translate design concepts into production-ready code
- Communication skills for design and engineering collaboration
- Experience with accessibility standards and best practices
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement complex UI components and systems
- Lead the technical implementation and evolution of Replit UI
- Create prototypes for interaction models and design concepts
- Collaborate with product designers to implement designs precisely
- Establish front-end and component-architecture practices
- Mentor engineers on design principles and implementation techniques
- Develop tools and processes for design-to-development workflows
- Contribute technical feasibility guidance in design reviews
- Champion accessible, responsive, and performant user interfaces
