About the Role

You will support the MLRO with day-to-day AML oversight and take on relevant responsibilities during their absence. You will advise on AML, sanctions, regulatory reporting, governance, and risk; manage regulatory submissions and audits; improve controls; monitor developments; and deliver compliance training.

Requirements

  • Senior-level AML and KYC compliance experience
  • Ability to assess AML and KYC risks and oversee client due diligence, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting
  • Swiss regulatory compliance experience
  • Knowledge of Swiss, EU, and UK regulatory regimes
  • Experience presenting compliance matters to senior management, executive committees, and boards
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Digital asset or crypto industry experience or motivation to develop expertise
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and asset classes
  • Experience with compliance process improvements and control enhancements
  • CAMS, CFE, CIA, or a relevant certification
  • Research skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the MLRO Switzerland with day-to-day AML oversight and provide continuity during their absence
  • Provide local compliance guidance on AML, sanctions, regulatory reporting, governance, and risk management
  • Prepare, file, and follow up on SARs, STRs, and other regulatory submissions
  • Coordinate external audits and implement corrective action plans
  • Escalate material risks and issues to the Head of Compliance Switzerland
  • Develop and enhance compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and controls
  • Maintain transaction monitoring systems and protocols
  • Provide compliance advisory support for business initiatives
  • Monitor Swiss and global regulatory and supervisory developments
  • Deliver compliance and regulatory training to internal stakeholders
