About the Role
You will support the MLRO in maintaining and overseeing AML, terrorist-financing, counter-proliferation financing, and sanctions controls. You will conduct business-wide risk assessments, investigate suspicious activity reports, support NCA reporting, manage law-enforcement requests, and review high-risk due-diligence cases.
Requirements
- Hands-on AML/CFT experience within a UK-regulated entity
- Operational familiarity with the UK legal and regulatory framework
- Financial crime qualification such as ICA or ACAMS
Responsibilities
- Ensure AML/CFT controls comply with UK regulations and industry guidance
- Assist with business-wide risk assessments and maintain the financial crime risk register
- Gather data for regulatory reporting
- Provide financial crime input into new product reviews
- Support quality assurance checks on financial crime controls
- Review and investigate internal suspicious activity reports
- Assist with drafting and submitting SARs to the NCA
- Manage law-enforcement information requests, production orders, and account-freezing orders
- Conduct secondary reviews of enhanced due-diligence cases for high-risk customers
