About the Role

You'll take part in a competitive internship program designed for third-year law students at Kazakhstani universities, giving you the chance to see firsthand how legal consulting works and to decide whether you want to build your career in this field. If selected, you'll work alongside leading Kazakhstani lawyers who are experts in areas such as banking and finance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and arbitration, energy and natural resources, real estate and construction, tax law, employment law, and intellectual property and technology. You'll complete a three month internship from June 1 to August 31 2024 in the Almaty or Astana offices, working in a team with international-level lawyers. You'll also benefit from a mentorship program, soft skills training from respected experts and trainers, and participation in Dentons Academy seminars to deepen your knowledge of practical aspects of civil law.

Requirements

• Be a third-year student at a law faculty of a Kazakhstani university
• Have a good level of English (C1 or higher)
• Have a high GPA
• Have high achievements in academics and other activities such as competitions, conferences, and moot court
• Pass a legal knowledge test, personality test, and English test (unless holding an IELTS certificate above 6.0)
• Pass an interview stage
