About the Role

You will lead the development and operation of critical data assets and models, guide data development teams, establish development practices, manage data pipelines and models, coordinate with data producers and consumers, and support technical documentation and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience
  • Experience as a project leader or manager
  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or architect
  • Proficiency in SQL, Spark, and Google Cloud
  • Data modeling and warehousing experience
  • Proficiency with relational databases
  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience with Python, Scala, or JavaScript
  • API development experience
  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with microservices architectures
  • Experience with distributed computing technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment
  • Experience with big data technology

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and operation of critical data assets and models
  • Drive consistent development practices, tool usage, components, and patterns
  • Coach and mentor data development teams
  • Ensure requirements are delivered accurately and on time
  • Manage developers maintaining data pipelines and data models
  • Establish standardized development practices across the data cycle
  • Collaborate with data producers and data consumers
  • Close resource and dedication gaps
  • Support the creation and review of pipeline documentation
  • Manage and develop the data development team
  • Foster an inclusive and high-performance environment
