About the Role
You will operate and maintain computing, networking, power, cooling, backup-generator, fire-suppression, and mining equipment at a data center. You will perform miner repairs, flash firmware, conduct inspections and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, restore service, and report on uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions.
Requirements
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data center infrastructure
- Knowledge of electrical systems, cooling systems, and network architecture
- Troubleshooting experience with power, cooling, and network systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with safety standards, energy efficiency practices, and compliance regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3+ years of experience in IT/computer hardware, systems or electrical engineering, network administration, or troubleshooting
- Proficiency in English
- Basic understanding of IP addressing and subnets
- Ability to stand for 7+ hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a motor vehicle check
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize critical data center systems
- Perform basic miner repairs and maintenance
- Flash firmware on miners
- Perform general facility duties
- Support preventative maintenance schedules
- Inspect, clean, and repair data center equipment
- Identify and troubleshoot infrastructure and miner issues
- Coordinate with multiple teams to resolve technical problems
- Restore service with minimal disruption
- Monitor and contribute to performance reports on uptime, power usage, and environmental conditions
