About the Role

You will design operational computing environments and high-density data center whitespace layouts. You will integrate power and cooling systems, model capacity and growth, coordinate structured cabling and fiber management, guide design reviews and construction activities, enforce industry standards and building codes, maintain CAD and BIM documentation, and evaluate modular technologies for energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities, or Data Center Engineering
  • At least 5+ years of data center design experience
  • Experience in cloud-scale or hyperscale environments
  • Advanced CAD/BIM skills using AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of data center power distribution, UPS systems, HVAC and cooling systems, and structured cabling
  • Knowledge of TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, and ANSI/BICSI standards
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to travel to data center sites

Responsibilities

  • Design whitespace layouts, rack placement, and aisle configurations
  • Integrate power delivery and cooling systems
  • Develop 3D models and capacity planning tools
  • Design structured cabling and fiber management systems
  • Participate in design reviews and risk assessments
  • Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning
  • Enforce industry standards and local building codes
  • Produce and maintain CAD/BIM drawings and schematics
  • Evaluate modular technologies and design methodologies
