About the Role
You will be the guardian of the firm's most critical assets in a high-stakes operational position at the intersection of institutional finance and DeFi. You will support day-to-day custody operations, conduct client ID verification and wallet whitelisting, oversee secure token transfers, and implement robust key management practices. You will perform account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and respond to client inquiries with timely, accurate information. You will collaborate with engineering teams to improve applications, build strong client relationships, and generate management reports. You will develop KPIs and operational procedures to optimize processes, and engage with regulators by answering inquiries and assisting with audits.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a trading firm, hedge fund, investment bank or similar financial institution
- Crypto assets experience preferred
- Experience supporting institutional or complex high-value clients in a regulated financial environment
- Solid understanding of financial products and basic custody processes
- Superb self-management skills with checklists and progress measurement
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative team player with proactive attitude
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Desire to become an expert on digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum
- SOC II documentation experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day custody services operations
- Assist trade operations and cross-functional teams in executing transactions
- Conduct ID verification and wallet whitelisting
- Oversee secure transfer of tokens
- Implement key management practices including generation, storage, and rotation of cryptographic keys
- Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Address client inquiries related to custody services
- Work with engineering teams to identify application enhancement opportunities
- Foster strong client relationships through regular communication
- Generate management reports supporting daily custody operations
- Develop and track KPIs and operational procedures
- Engage with regulatory bodies and assist with audits
