About the Role
You will build and maintain services that connect applications to blockchain networks and crypto data providers. You will develop blockchain connectivity, indexer capabilities, and data services for rates, metadata, and fees. You will improve observability, reliability, caching, fallback strategies, and incident detection while contributing to architecture and secure operations.
Requirements
- Production experience building backend services with TypeScript, Node.js, or Go
- Experience designing, operating, and debugging APIs or distributed services
- Knowledge of SQL databases and data modelling
- Ability to investigate failures across application, network, database, and third-party service boundaries
- Understanding of production observability, including metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting
- Written and spoken English
Responsibilities
- Build and improve reliable connectivity with blockchain nodes, RPC providers, explorers, and indexers
- Maintain and develop the Blockbook blockchain indexer
- Develop backend services for fiat rates, token and coin metadata, fees, and crypto data
- Integrate and evaluate third-party crypto-data providers
- Design caching, fallback, and routing strategies
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, request optimization, and incident detection
- Contribute to technical decisions, architecture reviews, and infrastructure planning
- Collaborate on dependable and secure service operations
