About the Role

Join Upvest's Finance team to own key corporate tax, VAT, wage tax, and transfer pricing activities. You will prepare filings, strengthen tax processes and controls, maintain the Tax Compliance Management System, advise on daily tax matters, and support the tax structuring of new European entities and permanent establishments.

Requirements

  • Several years of relevant experience in tax consulting, corporate tax, or auditing with a tax focus.
  • Solid knowledge of German tax law and basic knowledge of transfer pricing regulations.
  • Experience preparing tax returns and filings and dealing with tax authorities.
  • Very good Excel skills; ERP experience such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Fluent German and very good English communication skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a structured, careful working style.
  • Interest in brokerage, trading, wealth management, and financial markets.
  • Motivation for continuous professional and personal development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit VAT advance returns, corporate and trade tax returns, and other tax filings on time.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assess and support wage tax matters with the People team.
  • Develop and maintain the Tax Compliance Management System and related work instructions.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls for tax processes.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on tax topics during monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Support cross-functional tax compliance and business projects.
  • Support tax assessment and structuring for new companies and permanent establishments abroad.
  • Coordinate local tax advisors and integrate new entities into group structures.
