About the Role

You will own the processing of domestic and international corporate actions, including distributions, reorganizations, and redemptions across equities, fixed income, and options. You will validate event details before posting them to customer accounts, coordinate with external vendors and custodians, and reconcile booked activity against suspense, wash, and house accounts. You will investigate breaks and open items, respond to corporate-action Zendesk tickets, handle voluntary action requests, improve procedures, and help automate daily self-clearing processes with engineering.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of corporate actions experience.
  • Direct DTC Corporate Action Web experience.
  • Knowledge of ICE CA data, BNY processing, and the OCC option corporate action process.
  • Knowledge of brokerage clearing operations and United States securities back-office operations at a clearing firm.
  • Knowledge of financial industry rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with attention to detail and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Metabase, or another database coding language.
  • Ability to use Microsoft and Google document and spreadsheet solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing financial-industry regulations and assist other functional areas when needed.
  • FINRA SIE or willingness to obtain it within 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Process distributions, reorganizations, and redemptions.
  • Review and validate corporate action event details before posting them to customer accounts.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and custodians to confirm event and allocation details.
  • Reconcile corporate actions against suspense and wash accounts.
  • Balance corporate action house accounts daily.
  • Research breaks and open items.
  • Serve as the corporate actions subject matter expert for internal departments and external partners.
  • Respond to corporate action Zendesk tickets and handle voluntary corporate action requests.
  • Improve procedures for new tasks, asset classes, and processes.
  • Assist with automation of daily self-clearing processes alongside engineering.
  • Learn other clearing functions to provide support during downtime.
