About the Role
You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control-system failures and develop permanent solutions. You will provide remote technical support, lead reliability and continuous-improvement work, analyze production trends, maintain controlled documentation, mentor field personnel, and support safety and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a directly related engineering discipline
- Have 10 or more years of manufacturing automation or industrial robotics experience
- Program PLCs, robots, and industrial control systems
- Understand robotic systems, motion systems, and automated manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system failures
- Read electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Work in uptime-critical manufacturing environments
- Travel up to 50 percent
- Hold a valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for escalated technical issues
- Diagnose and resolve complex automation failures
- Design preventative and predictive reliability strategies
- Lead system-level hardware and software improvement initiatives
- Analyze production data and diagnostic trends
- Provide remote support and triage service tickets to onsite teams
- Standardize equipment configurations with cross-functional partners
- Maintain procedures, maintenance logs, and change-control records
- Serve as an escalation point for complex fleet issues
- Mentor field technicians and engineers
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry requirements
- Collaborate with vendors on parts, diagnostics, and technical support
