About the Role
Lead construction safety across a portfolio of high-performance computing and AI data centers, setting standards, managing contractor safety, controlling high-risk work, overseeing audits and incident investigations, leading project safety managers, and reporting safety metrics while traveling extensively to active sites.
Requirements
- 10+ years of construction EHS experience.
- Experience leading safety on large, complex projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E.
- Electrical and commissioning safety experience.
- Experience managing general contractors and subcontractors.
- Experience building and leading safety teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- CSP strongly preferred.
- OSHA 500/510.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Responsibilities
- Set construction safety standards across the build program.
- Hold general contractors, partners, and subcontractors to safety standards.
- Direct risk assessments, job planning, and safety performance.
- Control high-risk work including energized electrical work, lockout/tagout, confined space, critical lifts, excavation, silica, and heat.
- Govern safe energization and commissioning.
- Run site audits and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Vet and qualify contractors.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Build, coach, and lead project safety managers.
- Report safety metrics and escalate emerging risks.
- Champion Stop Work Authority.
