About the Role
You will install, terminate, test, and energize new electrical infrastructure, including conduit, cable tray, duct banks, cable, wire, and 480 V equipment. You will interpret construction drawings, follow grounding and lockout/tagout procedures, support commissioning and turnover, document work, and travel on a construction rotation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of industrial or data-center electrical construction experience installing conduit, tray, duct bank, cable, and 480 V terminations
- Ability to read construction drawings, one-lines, manuals, and work packages
- Proficiency with electrical test tools and construction hand and power tools
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work at heights and in confined spaces, and work outdoors in all weather
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts
- Ability and willingness to travel 80% or more on a construction rotation
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and land electrical equipment including breakers, transformers, switches, buswork, control systems, and batteries
- Install conduit, cable tray, cable, wire, terminations, underground duct banks, trenches, and cable pulls
- Perform installation quality checks and electrical testing
- Read and interpret construction drawings, one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work orders
- Follow lockout/tagout, grounding, clearance, NFPA 70E, and PPE procedures
- Set and dress equipment and operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Support energization sequences, punch-list closeout, and turnover to operations
- Document work, test results, and as-built markups
- Operate company vehicles and specialized equipment
- Inspect and store PPE
