About the Role

You will support the AML and financial crime compliance framework by handling KYC escalations, managing CDD and EDD processes, contributing to risk-rating and screening methodologies, and supporting SAR and STR preparation. You will assist with KYB matters, licensing efforts, compliance training, regulatory engagement, and cross-functional compliance support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of AML or financial crime compliance experience in fintech or crypto
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of EU MiCA and EMI frameworks
• Expertise in KYC, CDD, EDD, KYB, UBO verification, PEP screening, sanctions screening, adverse-media screening, transaction monitoring, and source-of-funds analysis
• Experience building or materially contributing to a financial-crime programme
• Experience engaging with regulators
• Strong knowledge of FATF standards and crypto AML regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of GDPR and UK-GDPR requirements for KYC and KYB data
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in ambiguous environments
• CAMS or ICA AML Diploma preferred
• Experience with blockchain analytics, identity verification, and screening platforms preferred
• Familiarity with iGaming affiliate ad-compliance and CASP-perimeter considerations preferred
• Direct SAR or STR filing experience preferred
• Knowledge of the VARA framework preferred
• General crypto and blockchain knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle KYC escalations and manage the CDD and EDD framework
• Recommend and support the preparation of SARs and STRs
• Support KYB and partner-related escalations
• Contribute to international licensing efforts
• Provide compliance support to Business Development
• Assist with AML training programmes
