About the Role

You will investigate complex AML cases and blockchain transactions, identify suspicious activity, assess monitoring and reporting requirements, and recommend risk mitigations. You will collaborate with external partners, regulators, legal teams, and law enforcement, while supporting training and keeping current with financial-crime and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of direct technical experience in BSA/AML investigations, financial crime, transaction monitoring, or investigations
• Knowledge of BSA/AML and KYC regulations, risks, and controls
• Understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency protocols, and decentralized networks
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication and investigative-report writing skills
• Ability to work independently and with team members at all levels

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigations of complex AML cases and blockchain transactions
• Identify suspicious or illicit activity, including money laundering
• Analyze data to identify process gaps and recommend risk mitigations
• Evaluate AML transaction-monitoring and suspicious-activity-reporting requirements
• Collaborate with financial institutions, government agencies, blockchain companies, regulators, legal teams, and law enforcement
• Monitor cryptocurrency industry, financial-crime, and regulatory developments
• Support team training and knowledge sharing
