About the Role

You will plan and execute community activations across North America and provide strategic guidance and resources for meetups in key cities. You will grow US-based communities through content, online experiences, and ongoing engagement. You will develop community talent to lead grassroots events, align stakeholders around shared goals, and manage workshops and events from planning through measurement, including marketing, vendors, budgets, and timelines. You will also collaborate on relevant, engaging community content.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in community engagement.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing online and offline communities, particularly in web3.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage builder community members in a friendly, welcoming manner.
  • Understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including DEXs, staking, lending, liquidity protocols, and stablecoins.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Passion for community building and fostering a positive, inclusive community.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently and work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture and grow US-based communities through high-quality content, meaningful online experiences, and consistent engagement.
  • Develop community talent to drive grassroots events online and offline.
  • Drive shared vision across teams and stakeholders and provide thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to identify event goals, target audiences, key messages, and business outcomes.
  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of community workshops and events, including project plans, timelines, marketing, promotions, vendor management, budgets, and measurement.
  • Collaborate with the Sui Foundation team to develop and promote relevant, engaging community content.
