About the Role
You will support commissioning across assigned data center projects by executing test procedures, documenting results and deficiencies, coordinating trade contractors, verifying installation readiness, reviewing test scripts, tracking corrective actions, supporting startup and factory testing, and maintaining field and turnover documentation through project handover.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent field experience considered
- Working knowledge of power distribution and cooling infrastructure
- Familiarity with commissioning levels L1 through L5
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment submittals
- Strong documentation habits and accurate record-keeping skills
- Ability to coordinate across trades and escalate issues clearly
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required, including 75% travel
Responsibilities
- Execute pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and integrated systems tests
- Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with trade contractors and subcontractors in the field
- Review installation conditions against drawings, submittals, and specifications
- Assist with commissioning test scripts, MOPs, and punch lists
- Track deficiencies and document formal closure
- Participate in startup activities and factory witness testing
- Maintain commissioning logs, field reports, and turnover documentation
- Support integrated systems testing and reliability demonstrations
- Follow site safety and compliance protocols
- Communicate progress, issues, and risks to commissioning leadership
