About the Role
You will join the Poker Analytics team as the single source of truth on business health, key commercial KPIs, and overall performance trends. You will monitor the numbers, perform ad hoc investigations, and advise on and track remedial actions, optimizations, and business growth opportunities. You will blend high-level technical analysis with polished storytelling to help guide the business toward optimal, data-driven decisions. You will provide critical support to both operational and commercial teams as well as the wider analytics team, and you will help shape the overall strategy for BI and Analytics as part of the analytics leadership team.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in an analytics/technical role
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data engineering / analysis
- Strong personal organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel and Tableau or another data visualization platform required
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, R) and cloud computing platforms (e.g. Databricks)
- Strong problem-solving skills, allied with track record of transforming data into actionable business insight
- Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones preferred
- Strong stakeholder management
- Ability to be independent and lead on projects - proactive thinking
- Advanced level understanding of the igaming ecosystem, ideally including poker
Responsibilities
- Serve as the single source of truth on business health, key commercial KPIs and overall performance trends
- Own the day-to-day KPI monitoring
- Improve the overall commercial position through insights and recommendations, partnering with commercial stakeholders, finance and the wider analytics team
- Lead weekly trading meetings and monthly business reviews
- Conduct proactive ad hoc deep dive analysis
- Collaborate with the finance function on reporting and forecasting
- Manage conflicting requirements, priorities and senior stakeholder expectations
- Contribute input into the wider analytics strategy and collaborate across the group
