About the Role

You will build compliant debt collection processes, oversee internal and external collections operations, manage retail credit portfolio recoveries, document policies and procedures, develop collection strategies, improve workflows and tools, and select and manage debt collection agencies while ensuring regulatory compliance and SLA adherence.

Requirements

Fluency in English
3+ years of experience in debt collection and recoveries in a retail bank, fintech, or debt collection agency
Experience creating and documenting collections processes
In-depth understanding of debt portfolio management, debt sales, and debt restructuring
Knowledge of credit products
Knowledge of local debt collection laws and regulations
Ability to manage performance and relationships with third-party service providers
Motivation to identify and implement automation opportunities

Responsibilities

Lead the development of compliant and effective debt collection processes
Ensure collections processes comply with applicable laws and regulations
Improve efficiency across the collections workflow
Own and manage the end-to-end debt collections process for retail credit portfolios
Optimise internal and external collections operations to improve customer contact effectiveness
Document policies, processes, and procedures for debt collection and recoveries
Develop, manage, and refine collection strategies to optimise recoveries
Continuously improve collection processes, metrics, and tools
Oversee and select debt collection agencies to ensure SLA adherence
