About the Role
You will own the technical strategy and architecture for a mobile-first trading platform. You will design the market structure and protocol-level infrastructure, integrate with external infrastructure, and lead core technical workstreams including trading infrastructure, tokenization, blockchain, and consumer apps. You will build, scale, and retain a globally distributed engineering organization, implement engineering processes that enable high velocity while maintaining security and quality, and present technical strategy and progress to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years in engineering with at least 5 years in VP CTO or Head of Engineering roles
- Experience building or leading teams that shipped perpetuals spot trading order matching or derivatives infrastructure
- Deep hands-on experience with EVM-based smart contracts and Solidity
- Experience with protocol design tradeoffs bridge security and token standards
- Proven mobile-first consumer product experience shipping apps at scale (React Native or native iOS Android)
- Cross-functional engineering leadership across blockchain backend and mobile
- Familiarity with sports betting or prediction market infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for the mobile-first trading platform
- Architect the hybrid CLOB and RFQ market structure
- Design protocol-level infrastructure decisions
- Own integration architecture with Crypto.com's infrastructure
- Build, scale, and retain a high-performance engineering team across blockchain, smart contracts, mobile, web, and backend
- Establish engineering culture and implement processes for velocity, quality, and security
- Manage a globally distributed team across APAC, EU, and US time zones
- Drive core technical workstreams: trading infrastructure, tokenization and RWA, blockchain and protocol, consumer app
- Partner with product and present technical strategy to executive leadership
- Build business cases for engineering investments with clear ROI
