About the Role
You will extend the reach and effectiveness of executive directors by managing priorities, commitments, and open decisions. You will lead ambiguous special projects, prepare decision-ready memos, support planning, prepare and follow through on high-stakes meetings, align internal communication, and represent executive directors when needed.
Requirements
- Experience working directly for a principal, such as as a chief of staff, senior campaign staff member, or founder-supporting early employee
- Excellent judgment and discretion
- Exceptional, rapid writing ability
- Interest in AI policy and technology guardrails
- Readiness to work hard in a demanding policy environment
Responsibilities
- Manage executive priorities, commitments, and open decisions
- Drive commitments and decisions to closure
- Lead ambiguous, high-stakes special projects
- Create decision-ready memos and pressure-test plans
- Support planning and strategy processes
- Prepare executive directors for high-stakes meetings and own follow-through
- Maintain internal alignment through all-hands and cross-team coordination
- Represent executive directors when needed
