About the Role
You will lead the technical delivery of autonomy solutions for unmanned weapon systems. You will define system architecture and technical objectives, make key engineering decisions, manage risk, and ensure complete, high-quality technical deliverables. You will oversee research initiatives and defense contracts while leading engineers advancing Hivemind Autonomy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field
- 10+ years of industry experience in autonomy or unmanned weapon systems
- 7+ years of delivering software into production or certifiable high-reliability environments
- Knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control
- Knowledge of robotics stacks, including controls, estimation, perception, and planning
- Knowledge of software development processes and software deployment
- Experience defining technical scope and managing technical requirements, product architectures, ICDs, and system-level design documentation
- Scientific and technical problem-solving skills
- Customer-facing engineering leadership experience supporting defense and internally funded development programs
- Government contract proposal writing ability
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership experience managing 6–20 engineers
Responsibilities
- Serve as Chief Engineer for projects developing and deploying autonomy solutions for unmanned weapon systems
- Lead engineers advancing Hivemind Autonomy and shaping defense autonomy architectures
- Define and assign technical objectives and make key engineering decisions
- Ensure the quality and completeness of technical deliverables
- Provide technical leadership across internal research and development initiatives and defense contracts
