About the Role

As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in building and expanding a solid, state-of-the-art digital financial services operation. You will oversee the end-to-end compliance of the Luxembourg regulated legal entity, its branches, and support compliance efforts for other regulated Vivid entities, working closely with various product teams and senior management.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience with a preference for demonstrated exposure in SME and retail payments
  • Extensive experience in a compliance environment with a good understanding of the compliance issues impacting an EMI firm and payment processes
  • Significant relevant experience at a regulated financial institution, with first-hand knowledge of CSSF regulatory framework, and deep practical knowledge of the AML domain
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage risk and control activities in complex financial operations environments
  • Alignment to company values
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, native knowledge of a second European language is welcomed
  • Based in Luxembourg or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

  • Help oversee and maintain the compliance framework on individual entity- and group level, including strategy, policies and governance arrangements approved by the Board
  • Assist the Boards of Directors and Senior Management to create a culture of informed risk-taking through training, communication and promotion of the agreed risk and compliance framework
  • Run a comprehensive compliance monitoring program across all relevant risks
  • Oversee all outsourced (critical) functions from a 2nd line of defense perspective
  • Interact with regulators on an ongoing basis as needed
  • Keep up to date with EU regulatory developments
  • Maintain ongoing dual reporting to and close cooperation with the Chief Risk Officer
