About the Role
You will support the compliance team in a licensed digital asset platform, gaining hands-on experience with AML, CTF and CPF frameworks. You will review customer onboarding documents, investigate alerts flagged by the transaction monitoring system, and keep compliance records organized and up to date. You'll also help prepare internal compliance reports and compile data for regulatory reporting, while picking up various administrative and operational tasks as needed. You will report directly to the Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel, with mentorship opportunities available from the CEO.
Requirements
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Law, Business and Management, Finance, or other related fields
- Relevant educational background or prior working experience in compliance, risk management, or financial regulations is a plus
- Strong English proficiency with strong communication and writing skills
- Genuine interest in and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain space
- Basic understanding of cryptocurrency concepts, trends, and technologies is a plus
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory standards related to cryptocurrency is an advantage
- Ability to navigate and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic industry
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
- Able to commit to an internship of at least 3 months
Responsibilities
- Review customer onboarding documents for individuals and entities
- Review alerts flagged by the transaction monitoring system
- Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance reviews and decisions
- Update internal compliance logs and documentation trackers
- Prepare internal compliance reports and compile data for regulatory reporting purposes
- Perform other administrative or operational tasks as required by the compliance team
