About the Role
Lead a small team of C++ gameplay programmers while remaining hands-on in the Unreal Engine 5 codebase. Design core gameplay systems, own multiplayer and networking architecture, drive VR performance optimization, define technical direction and code quality, and collaborate with designers, technical artists, and the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Strong C++ skills and experience with Unreal Engine 4/5.
- Proven experience developing multiplayer or online games or real-time systems.
- Experience leading a small team, mentoring, or working as a tech lead.
- Solid understanding of game development pipelines, including builds, CI/CD, and profiling.
- Self-reliant and responsible approach.
- Availability to work on-site in Prague.
- Experience with VR projects and standalone VR hardware such as Quest or Pico.
- Knowledge of UE replication and low-latency networking.
- Experience building internal tools and debugging or profiling tools.
- Background in live-service or long-running games.
