About the Role
You will own Wattpad’s P&L, lead annual operating and strategic planning, and build forecasts and financial models. You will manage technology, marketing, content, and subscription spend; evaluate investments and vendor contracts; deliver financial insights; and use Google Workspace and Claude AI to improve finance workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of FP&A, business finance, or corporate finance experience.
- Hands-on P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Interest in applying AI tools such as Claude AI to finance workflows.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Understanding of P&L structure, ROI analysis, and budget and cost management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Own the Wattpad P&L end-to-end and drive profitability-improvement initiatives.
- Lead Annual Operating Plan and strategic planning processes.
- Build and maintain P&L forecasts and financial models.
- Manage budgets, cost control, and efficiency for technology spend.
- Analyze and optimize hosting, software, cloud, security, marketing, content, and paid-content subscription spend.
- Evaluate investments, initiatives, and vendor contracts using ROI analysis.
- Build business cases and conduct post-investment reviews.
- Deliver actionable insights on revenue, cost drivers, and margin improvement.
- Use Google Workspace and Claude AI to automate reporting and accelerate analysis.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support.
