About the Role

You process incoming and outgoing ACATS and non-ACATS transfers across the full transfer lifecycle. You validate client information and asset eligibility, coordinate with contra firms and partner brokers, manage irregularities and reject paths, support mass transfers, collaborate on workflow automation, analyze root causes, update controls, and serve as a subject matter expert on transfer policies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of ACATS experience
  • Hands-on industry portal usage and strong understanding of the ACATS cycle, status progression, and timing requirements
  • Working knowledge of NSCC and DTCC rules, FINRA Rule 11870, and standard and nonstandard transfer flows
  • Knowledge of U.S. broker-dealer back-office operations, DTC settlements, FOP transfers, Fund/SERV, and contra account formats
  • Ability to identify documentation and processing irregularities and outline corrective measures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment with hard daily cutoffs
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Metabase, or similar query tools
  • Comfort navigating internal tools, industry portals, ticketing systems, and Google or Microsoft document solutions
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving regulatory landscape
  • SIE and Series 99 or higher securities license, or ability to pass Series 99 within the first 180 days
  • Associate's degree in a business-related field and 5+ years of experience in ACATS, treasury or cashiering operations, banking, or financial services
  • Series 7
  • Experience processing ACATS on DTCC's portal as a deliverer or supporting a transition to self-clearing
  • Exposure to ACATS-Fund/SERV, options, annuity, UIT, non-ACATS transfer agent workflows, or API-driven partner brokers

Responsibilities

  • Process daily incoming and outgoing ACATS within industry timelines
  • Validate client information, contra accounts, and asset eligibility
  • Process DTC and FOP transfers, ACATS Free Deliveries, Fail Reversals, and nonstandard transfers
  • Identify documentation and processing irregularities
  • Execute correct reject paths and apply error-prevention controls
  • Communicate with contra firms, transfer agents, and partner brokers
  • Coordinate rejections, accelerations, reclaims, and documentation
  • Run mass account transfers and conversions
  • Partner with engineering to automate daily self-clearing workflows
  • Drive operational improvement through root cause analysis and trend analysis
  • Update the control framework
  • Serve as the firm's subject matter expert on transfers
  • Prepare summary documentation for special projects
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives
